hehe but then i'm not surprised if ppl fail to kill themselves becoz deep inside they dont really wanna die... but it's just a plea for help. yeah?
in that case, then the term used is 'parasuicide'... when i was doing my med attachment in Malacca's Gen Hosp during my A-Levels, I attended a lecture in their psych ward. Bloody interesting; about the mentality of people attempting suicide and parasuicide, and the methods they employed. I learned how to kill myself using my shoelaces and a 4 foot high set of drawers.

the lecture sounds interesting. so that means ppl who attempt either have diff methods of commiting suicide..

i guess u can use shoelaces for strangulation... but drawers?? kill oneself by banging head on the drawers? lol.
loop the shoelace fr the highest drawer. then abruptly sit with the loop around your neck. it will crush the larynx. if you do it hard enough, it can break your neck and spinal cord.
fab way to die huh?
he told us this story because suicidal patients must be handled with care, because even with the least of equipments - they can find a way.
