Fellow Malaysians, you must have heard abt the recent petrol hike from the previous price of RM1.92/litre to the sudden leap to RM2.70/litre yesterday.
If not, you must have been living under a shell.
Or maybe you don't own a car.
Let's also not go into why the government decided that it was A-OK to suddenly spring this on us or what's wrong with subsidizing us a while more when our very own Petronas is making a huge ton of profit from oil. Coz this has probably been discussed to death in other blogs and they are more competent/convincing in doing so than me.
Anyway.
I foresee more increases in prices in just about everything! Which is scary. *sigh* Hvta save more money nowadays, cannot simply indulge every food whim, must buy the cheapest stuff, go out less also. >.<
Besides being frugal in your daily lifestyle, what else can you do to save your petrol and make it last to the very last drop? Here's a guide to the drivers out there. Do check it out!
Or if you want a more humourous positive outlook on how the fuel price increase will help Malaysia. Read this!
Sigh.. feel like there are many things going wrong with the world nowadays. What with the string of natural disasters, the ppl suffering, laughable acts by our politicians, inflation...
Maybe Armageddon is not such a far-fetched theory after all.

I'm quite tired of people being totally unaware of REAL issue we're facing here; Global Oil Depletion. The projected year that petrol would run out all over the world was between 2007 to 2010.
Developing country will fall flat on their faces. The old internal combustion engine we use in cars, bikes, and every damn vehicle on the road will be obsolete. Nothing will run anymore. And since kerosene is a derivative of petroleum, planes won't fly either! And hybrid vehicle technology is still in its infancy!
What's scarier is that a lot of drugs is synthesized from petroleum. People will die from diseases that were once curable with a single dose of whatever, once the international stockpile is depleted. Not to mention that plastic (made from petroleum, as well) - which we use in a lot of disposable medical equipments like syringes will no longer be economical, nor possible, for that matter.
And people are freaking talking about which stupid political party's fault. Malaysians have no sense of scale.
I think, i'll write a post about this -.-
yeah i know abt the oil depletion thingy. and i hav a conspiracy theory abt it..
i believe tat the technology for vehicles tat use other alternative sources of energy are already available but the oil companies are giving them political pressure to not let them make their vehicles commercialized.
so.. we have no choice but to use petrol if we wanna travel. and pay more for it.
and i get it tat the government hav been subsidizing our petrol for a loooong time. so apparently they cant do it anymore longer.
OK.
then where is the money b4 this used for subsidies going to go to? don't forget, alot of it come from our taxes!
i sure hope tat they are not going to use it for some brainless project where more than the money needed will be quoted. hah.
I doubt that, really. If anyone has the know-how to make cheap, efficient alternative fuel vehicles, I'd bet you that it'll have no problem getting enough political lobbying to support. There's INSANE amounts of money for the first automobile company which manage to do that. It'll make Bill Gate look like a minimart owner.
Unless of course, it's the oil companies which discover said technology.
our scientists are pretty smart, they can do alot of things, like sending ppl into space.. but it's a sad thing tat they dont have enough funding to start researching on how to make alternative fuel vehicles.
in a way, isnt tat like a political bias or smtg?
and yeah, it's the oil companies with the big bucks now..
